Burlap Door Hangers

Burlap Door Hangers

It has been a while since I have posted.  I have been busy working on so many different things.  I have been upholstering furniture, making Burlap Door Hangers, visiting my sister and her family and enjoying the summer with friends.  I took the summer off from school and plan to start back this fall to finish my educational specialist degree.  I am excited!!

A friend of mine joined me at the beginning of summer to operate a booth at the community festival.  We have been making custom burlap door hangers and embellished frames.

I have all of my burlap door hangers on Etsy, however, if you have something in mind, I will be glad to create it for you.  I do ship in the U.S. for a flat rate of $10.00.  Below are a few to preview, but I have tons more.  We are getting our stock ready for a fall festival.  I am so excited about it.  If you live near Jonesboro, come on out and see us.

This was a custom design for a friend.  The cost is $30 - Bling was added.

Red, White and Blue

Red, White and Blue

Today is such a beautiful spring day!  Finally finished with the cold, wet, dreary weather.  It is Flip-Flop season!!  I have been painting and creating so many burlees and frames.  I had to share the Red, White and Blue!!  Memorial Day is around the corner and I created a Patriotic Burlee for a door hanger.

I have also made a baseball burlee for a friend.

I also made a Chevron Razorback Frame.  I love the chevron pattern.

Everything I have been painting lately is RED.

Have a great week!

Vintage Treasures

Vintage Treasures
A good friend of mine brought 16 (yes! 16) boxes of Vintage treasures.  I was like a kid in a candy store.  I set to going through the boxes (only half way through) and was carried back in time.
Here are a few of the treasures.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

In just a few short hours, the ball will drop in Times Square ringing in 2013!

Since my boys were little, I have always enjoyed finding or creating fun crafts to do with them on New Year’s Eve.  I would always plan enough activities to keep them up until the ball would drop.  As they got older, we would play games. I will miss all the fun.

I was cruising Pinterest and found some fun things I would have enjoyed with the boys.  I have put together some of the pictures with the links to help someone with a last minute plans.
Treat bags are always fun!  Fill with fun pads, crayons, bubbles, play doh, etc.  Kids love fun bags.

We have decorated plain sugar cookies in the past.  I bought tubes of decorator icing and various kinds of sprinkles.  The boys loved it.

Nothing feels more special than a toast! I hope you can take these ideas and make them your own.

It will be the first year without our host Dick Clark.  I have been watching Dick Clark’s New Year’s Eve for as long as I can remember.  He was always there to ring in the New Year.  We will miss you Dick Clark.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
